Meet The Teacher...Ms Katie
Hello! My name is Katie Merritt. I am the owner and teacher of Orchard Blossom Preschool. I live in Orem with my husband and my two sweet children. We have lived in Orem for 10 years now and had an old orchard behind our new home that gave us inspiration (along with all the other orchards in Orem) for our preschool name "Orchard Blossom". I enjoy being in the outdoors, playing sports, photography, crafting, baking and spending time with my family and friends.
A little about my history/qualifications:
*Assisted my mother in her in-home daycare/preschool while living at home
*Graduated from BYU-I 2003 with my Associates Degree
*Nanny for two amazing boys in Maui/Michigan ages 3 and 5
*Did student teaching in a preschool at Central Elementary in Pleasant Grove, UT in 2008 and in Utah Valley University's preschool in 2009 for a semester each
*Received my teaching certificate for Early Childhood Education at Utah Valley University in 2009
*I have my Early Childhood Education teaching certificate, Orem City Business License, and CPR/First Aid certification from the Red Cross.
